Mutualism is any relationship between individuals of different species where both individuals benefit.
One example of mutalism in the deciduous forest is the relationship between the bird and deer the picture to the right shows a deer letting a bird eat the insects of of him. So the bird gets food and the deer becomes insect free. |
Commensalism
Commensalism describes a relationship between two living organisms where one benefits and the other is not significantly harmed or helped.
One example of commensalism is the relationship between the squirrel and a tree, because the tree is not harmed and the squirrel gets protection from preditators and shelter. |
